Venezuela Punishes 80 Firms, Including Sony, for Power Use
Venezuela announced 24-hour power cutoffs for companies that failed to reduce energy usage during the country’s current electricity crisis. Among the abusers was Sony Corp’s Venezuelan unit. The country is suffering from severe drought that has hampered hydroelectric power, from which the Venezuela gets 70% of its electricity.

Poll: 3 in 5 Americans Support Nuclear Energy
A new Gallup poll shows that support for nuclear power is at an all-time high in the US. The latest survey shows that 62% of Americans are in favor of using nuclear energy as an electricity source. Of the respondents, 28% “strongly favor” nuclear power.
