Wireless Innovation Forum Accepting Abstracts for SDR-WInnComm 2014

/EINPresswire.com/ Conference on Communications Technologies and Software Defined Radio(SDR-WInnComm 2014)attracts attendees from all aspects of the advanced wireless radio value chain, 11-13 March 2014 at Motorola in Schaumburg, Illinois.

The Wireless Innovation Forum (www.WirelessInnovation.org), a non-profit international industry association dedicated to driving the future of radio communications and systems worldwide, announced today a Call for Abstract Submissions for its Conference on Communications Technologies and Software Defined Radio (SDR-WInnComm 2014).

Attracting attendees from all aspects of the reconfigurable radio value chain, SDR-WInnComm is the ideal place to network and make an impact on the advanced wireless radio community. It will take place 11-13 March 2014 at Motorola in Schaumburg, Illinois.

In 2012 there were more than 113,000 downloads from previous proceedings.

As the only event devoted to the advancement of radio technologies from research through deployment, this is the premier venue to network with and learn from the leading innovators in the advanced wireless market to gain a functional knowledge of relevant emerging opportunities and technologies.

The paper track focuses on advanced research and development in software defined radio (SDR), cognitive radio (CR) and dynamic spectrum access (DSA) technologies. Papers are required in this track and selection will be competitive, based on intensive peer review. This year, under a new conference model, only the top papers will be allowed into the main technical program, with a greater than 50% rejection rate anticipated through the peer review process. The focus of papers in the main program will be technical, regulatory and business advances that support the innovative utilization of spectrum, and advanced radio technologies supporting essential or critical communications. Please see our Top 10 List (http://groups.winnforum.org/winnforum_top_ten) and Advocacy Agenda (http://groups.winnforum.org/advocacy) for priority topic areas.

New this year, in addition to the main program, poster sessions will be added in 2014 facilitate better networking between paper presenters and Forum members on all SDR, CR and DSA topic areas. Proposals are also sought at this time for workshop and tutorial presentations on hot topics relevant to the community.

Proposals for each track must include an abstract, the author information, the topic area, and sufficient information to validate the quality and technical depth of the proposal. Topic categories include:

• Baseband Processing Technologies
• RF, IF, and ADC Technologies
• Software for SDR, Cognitive and DSA Technologies
• Security
• Multimode Terminal and Insfrastructure Design
• Satellite Radio Systems
• Cognitive Radio Technologies
• Dynamic Spectrum Access and Spectrum Sharing
• Cognitive Networks
• Modeling Languages for Mobility
• Test and Measurement
• Software Communications Architecture (SCA)
• Open Source Use in SDR, CR, and DSA
• Regulatory Considerations and Spectrum Policy
• Standards for Reconfigurable Radio and Supporting Components
• Education in SDR, CR, and DSA
• User Requirements, Business Models, and Markets for SDR, CR, and DS

Abstract proposals for SDR-WinnComm are being accepted through 28 June 2013. Based on Abstract acceptance, authors are required to submit a full manuscript for review by 27 September 2013. Authors may register their Abstracts at http://edas.info/N14793.

In its 12th year, SDR-WInnComm attracts attendees that include investors, commercial network operators, radio manufacturers, system integrators, government procurement officials, regulators, engineering service providers and consultants from over 22 different countries.
